Hi, I'm Courtny and I am 26 years old with a strong passion for the arts of "mermaiding" and spreading awareness about ocean conservation. I have studied about what is currently happening within our oceans such as marine life extinction and devastating coral depletion(bleaching). I saw the effects of green-house gases on our ozone, the destructive oil spills in our pristine oceans, or the massive deforestation in our incredibly diverse amazon rain-forests. Nature has been my outlet in my life, somewhere to meditate, and the waters have been somewhere to escape to, a place of quietness and serenity. I have always kept nature close to my heart and admired every aspect of it since I was little and when I reached the age where I understood what was going on and witnessed all the destruction on our planet, I thought to myself, "This has to stop before it's too late."

 

I wanted to make a difference and felt that my impact matters and that my voice matters too. I had been making videos, talking about ocean conservancy, and telling everyone I knew to buy environmentally friendly products but my efforts only felt like a drop in the ocean (so to speak). Through years of research, I stumbled upon the mermaid community. I loved what the mermaid's mission was so much so that I applied what I knew and learned over the years about ocean conservation to "mermaiding." From there, I learned there was much more than conservation, you could also make money doing what you loved doing. This has always been my deepest passion; to make a living doing what you love to do the most. And so, I started Mermaid Analise Entertainment and Events. I am forever grateful to all the wonderful experiences I've had so far being a real-life mermaid entertainer.
